Q: Kano <3 Coderdojo! Can you describe the organization and your philosophy?
A: CoderDojo is a global volunteer movement of free coding clubs of young people aged 7-17, There are currently 850+ Dojos in 64 countries around the world running coding sessions where young people learn to create with code and tech!
Q: We’re thrilled about Dojos across the globe using Kano kits. Coderdojo’s focus on youth-centric, collaborative, and fun learning is inspiring. What are you excited about with our partnership?
A: We are delighted to have the support from Kano, with these Kano kits young people at Dojos around the world will engage and learn about technology that they might not have the opportunity to experience before!
Q: Can you describe how some of the Dojos are using Kano?
A: We are seeing a lot of CoderDojos leading python sessions with the Kano Kits.
Q: What are some cool things Dojos have created using the Pi?
A: We’ve seen so many different projects from Coderdojo youths using the Raspberry Pi, these range from Auto tweeting a photo using Pi cameras, home automation to Minecraft servers.
Q: Can you describe the learning in the future in two words?
A: Open Sourced
